Refund Policy

Thank you for using FILMINITY, a platform dedicated to showcasing and supporting independent filmmakers and short films. This Refund Policy outlines the conditions under which refunds may or may not be granted for transactions made on our platform.

1. Donations & Crowdfunding Contributions

1.1 Direct Payments to Creators

On FILMINITY, users may support films or creators by sending donations or crowdfunding contributions directly to the bank accounts or payment links provided by the respective creators or film teams.

  • These payments are not handled or controlled by FILMINITY.
  • FILMINITY does not store, process, or intervene in such payments, and has no authority to issue refunds for them.
  • Users are advised to verify and trust the creator or team before making any financial support.

Disclaimer: FILMINITY is not liable for any misuse of funds or unfulfilled promises made by creators.

If you believe you have been defrauded by a creator, please report the incident to our team. While we cannot refund the amount, we may take action against the creator’s account after investigation.

2. Paid Services on FILMINITY (Feature Badge, Reviews, Ratings, etc.)

FILMINITY provides optional paid services to creators, including:

  • Feature Badge
  • Project Rating & Review Visibility
  • Priority Movie Listing
  • Additional Promotional Features

These payments are made directly to FILMINITY through Razorpay, QR code scanner, or UPI details provided.

Refunds for these services will not be issued, except in the following cases:

  • Duplicate payment for the same service
  • Technical failure (e.g., feature not activated within 72 hours)
  • Accidental overpayment (must be reported within 48 hours)

All requests will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. If approved, refunds will be issued to the original payment source within 7–10 working days.

⚠️ Note: No refunds will be issued for user dissatisfaction, change of mind, or misuse of service by the user.

3. Unauthorized or Fraudulent Transactions

If you made a payment to FILMINITY via Razorpay or scanner and believe it was:

  • Unauthorized
  • Fraudulent
  • Made in error

Please email us within 7 days of the transaction, along with:

  • Transaction ID
  • Payment screenshot
  • Purpose of payment
  • Registered email or contact number

We will investigate and respond within 5–10 business days.

4. No Refunds for Free Features or Movie Submissions

Movie or short film submissions for review/approval are free of charge unless optional services are chosen.

Voting, browsing, and content viewing features are also free — refunds do not apply.
