Virtual Box Office (VBO) Policy - Filminity

Filminity Virtual Box Office (VBO) Policy

Effective Date: 15 september 2025

Filminity’s Virtual Box Office (VBO) is a fictional, platform-only performance system that recreates a theatrical-style experience using BoxoCoins (BXC). It is designed for recognition, analytics, and practice — not real money or revenue.

1. Purpose

VBO simulates box office performance for independent films. Filmmakers can see:

  • Ticket-style metrics
  • Gross & Net collections
  • Budget comparisons
  • Performance bonuses

Note: BoxoCoins (BXC) are not currency. They cannot be exchanged, withdrawn, or treated as real-world revenue.

2. Key Definitions

  • BXC (BoxoCoin): Fictional performance unit.
  • Seat: One verified view counted like a theatre ticket.
  • Gross BXC: Total before filters.
  • Net BXC: Cleaned and official number after filtering.
  • Budget Target: Film’s budget converted to BXC.
  • BPI (Boxo Performance Index): Net ÷ Budget Target × 100.
  • Bonuses: Extra BXC from ratings, team rank, or star value.

3. Basic Earning Rule

Every valid Seat = 5 BXC. Example: One complete watch = 5 BXC Gross.

Important: This does not represent real ticket sales or money. Neither Filminity nor filmmakers earn revenue from VBO. It is a fictional practice system for professional-style performance tracking only.

4. Budget Conversion & Targets

Budgets are converted to BXC for fair benchmarking:

  • ₹10 = 1 BXC (default)
  • ₹100,000 budget → 10,000 BXC target

BPI Formula: Net BXC ÷ Budget Target × 100

5. Gross → Net Cleaning

Gross is shown live, but only Net BXC counts officially. Adjustments remove:

  • Bot/Idle sessions
  • Repeated re-watches (same day)
  • Very short sessions
  • Daily/session abuse attempts

6. Bonuses & Multipliers

  • Rating Bonus: S (×1.5), F (×1.35), R (×1.20), C (×1.10), E (×1.05), X (×1.00), Z (×0.90)
  • Top-10 Bonus: +7% if team members are in Filminity Top 10
  • StarPower: Small multiplier for verified stars
  • Festival/Release Boost: e.g., Premiere Days ×1.25

7. Final Collections & Labels

The Final BXC (after multipliers) appears on each film’s page as its VBO Collection.

  • < 70% → Flop
  • 70–99% → Average
  • 100–149% → Hit
  • 150–199% → Super Hit
  • 200–299% → Blockbuster
  • ≥ 300% → All-Time Blockbuster / Cult

VBO provides filmmakers with transparent, trade-style recognition while keeping it fictional, gamified, and motivational.
